Gremlin Foresight AI is a suite of features that analyzes your Gremlin environment, identifies risks, recommends actions to improve your resilience, and tracks changes in your resilience over time. Foresight helps you:

• See risks: Foresight pinpoints where your systems are likely to fail, and which failure points are high priority, before an incident occurs.
• Fix risks: Foresight backs up its findings with specific, guided remediations so you can resolve risks quickly and effectively.
• Prove resilience: Foresight continuously confirms that your fixes hold and resilience endures as your systems change.

Features included with Foresight

Foresight includes the following features:

• Reliability Intelligence: Get real-time reliability insights and recommendations based on the results of failed reliability tests.
• Foresight Chat: Use natural language to ask questions about your reliability data, get real-time updates, and create custom reports.
• Foresight TPM: Interact with an AI-powered Technical Program Manager (TPM) that tracks reliability health across your services, generates narrative weekly reports with recommendations, manages commitments, and sends Slack notifications with updates.

Foresight also integrates with the Gremlin MCP server, which lets you connect your Gremlin environment to your AI agent of choice.

What actions can Foresight perform?

Foresight can query your Gremlin environment for information about your services and dependencies, test history, Detected Risks, account usage, and other team-scoped data. Foresight can also perform team-scoped actions such as running reliability tests and executing API calls.

Which AI models does Foresight use?

Foresight uses Claude, but we may provide additional LLM options in the future.

Where does Foresight source its data?

Foresight’s data is grounded in the Failure Atlas, Gremlin's proprietary world model of how real systems fail. This data grounds Foresight’s analysis and recommended fixes in deep understanding: it doesn’t speculate about the root cause of failures the way AI SRE tools do, but uses real evidence gathered from more than a decade of resilience testing on production systems.

How does Foresight provide recommendations?

Foresight uses data available in your Gremlin environment, including:

• Service definitions, dependencies, and metadata.
• Test runs, test results, and Detected Risks.
• Configured Health Checks and observability integrations.
• Reliability Intelligence insights and recommendations.

Foresight also has access to the full Gremlin documentation.

Can I use Foresight outside of Gremlin?

The full capabilities of Foresight are only available via the Gremlin chat interface. However, any artifacts produced by Foresight are available via the REST API and thus the Gremlin MCP server.

Can Foresight integrate with our CI/CD tool as a production gate?

Yes, all reliability scores, data, and actions are available via API and the MCP server with full RBAC permission control. This makes it possible to use Foresight as a reliability guardrail to verify code resilience and recommend remediations for failed tests that can be implemented by your coding agent.

What control do I have over Foresight?

Foresight gives you complete control to match your organization’s risk tolerance. You can manage:

• What teams have access to Foresight.
• What tests are actually run and who can run them.
• What recommendations are passed through to other agents or human users.

What additional data will Foresight need to collect, and how is it kept secure?

Foresight uses the same data that Gremlin collects today, and all of it remains within Gremlin. This data is stored in Gremlin’s Control Plane. For details about our security policy and practices, see gremlin.com/security.

Can we disable Foresight access easily on a granular basis?

Yes, Foresight access can be controlled by disabling the “Allow LLM access” setting under Company settings. Additionally, Foresight follows all existing RBAC and permission boundaries, so each user will only be able to access the teams and services they already have access to.

Does Foresight integrate with incident management tools to recommend tests based on past incidents?

Gremlin integrates with several incident management, observability, and project management tools. While Gremlin doesn’t directly ingest incident events, the agentic approach makes it easy to feed incident data into Gremlin via the MCP server. The test recommendation feature is still currently being built out, and more details of these integrations and recommendation process are coming soon.

Does Foresight replace Reliability Intelligence?

No. In fact, Foresight complements Reliability Intelligence. Reliability Intelligence identifies possible solutions for failed tests, and Foresight uses this analysis as input for its recommendations.

Does Foresight work with Private Edition?

As of now, Foresight is only available for Gremlin SaaS.

Is the MCP server compatible with MCP registries?

Yes! You can host the Gremlin MCP server either locally or on your cloud, making it compatible with MCP registries and similar security practices.
