Outposts puts AWS hardware in your building, and it puts the operational responsibilities of a data center back on a team that likely doesn't staff one. Power, cooling, physical access, and the network path back to the parent region all become your concern in ways they never were for workloads running in a standard AWS region.
The link back to AWS deserves particular attention. It's a failure mode that doesn't exist in your other environments, so your architecture has probably never been designed around losing it. What happens to workloads on the Outpost when that connection degrades is a question most teams can't answer confidently.
Testing hybrid deployments deliberately is the only practical way to find out. It also produces evidence you can use, which matters if your Outposts deployment exists to satisfy a data residency or regulatory requirement that comes with an audit attached.
Host redundancy - Linux
