Azure Synapse Analytics workloads sit behind dashboards and scheduled reports, which means their failures reach people rather than systems. Nobody gets paged. Someone eventually asks why a number looks wrong, usually well after decisions have been made from it.
The reporting layer is what makes this dangerous. Many BI tools respond to an unavailable source by displaying the last successful result, with no visual indication that it's stale.
