Windows service availability
Description
Reboot a Windows host to ensure your application/service gracefully exits and restarts, and that you have redundancy in place.
Unplanned host shutdowns are an unfortunate reality, but that doesn't mean you can't be resilient. This Scenario helps validate that:
- The host can automatically restart after being shut down.
- Applications and services running on the host exit gracefully before the shutdown, and startup gracefully after it boots.
- Your load balancer redirects traffic to a replica until the original host is back online.
